ABS Series — Preferred by engineers and professionals because of its higher temperature resistance, machinability, flexibility and strength. It is a petroleum-based plastic and requires a heated print bed.
PLA Series — The optimal choice for use in homes, schools, and hobbyists. PLA is a corn-based, biodegradable product. It gives off a mild non-offensive sweet smell when heated, making the product suitable for home use. It does not require a heated print bed, and it easily adheres to masking tapes. It is very hard, acetone resistant, and when properly utilized can achieve faster print speeds and lower layer heights than ABS.
